二 | Canberra, Oct 18 (UNI) Australia has reversed a decision made four years ago to recognise West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Canberra's decision in 2018 had undermined peace and put Australia out of step with other nations, Foreign Minister Penny Wong said. She stressed that Australia remained a "steadfast friend" to Israel. Its embassy will stay in Tel Aviv, the BBC reported.

At the time, Scott Morrison had said Australia would recognise West Jerusalem immediately but not move its embassy from Tel Aviv until a peace settlement was achieved. Morrison's government lost power in an election in May this year.

On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Penny Wong called the former government's decision a "cynical play" to win over Jewish voters ahead of an election in Australia.

"I regret that Mr Morrison's decision to play politics resulted in Australia's shifting position, and the distress these shifts have caused to many people in the Australian community who care deeply about this issue," she said.

She reaffirmed the country's "previous and longstanding" position that the status of Jerusalem should be resolved as part of peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian people. "We will not support an approach that undermines this prospect," she said.

The status of Jerusalem is one of the most contested issues between Israel and the Palestinians.

Former US President Donald Trump drew international criticism in 2017 when he reversed decades of American foreign policy by recognising the ancient city as Israel's capital. The US embassy was relocated from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May 2018.

Months later, then Australian Prime Minister Morrison announced his government would follow suit.

Israel regards Jerusalem as its "eternal and undivided" capital, while the Palestinians claim East Jerusalem - occupied by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war - as the capital of a future state, the BBC said.

The status of Jerusalem goes to the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem has never been recognised internationally, and according to the 1993 Israel-Palestinian peace accords, the final status of Jerusalem is meant to be discussed in the latter stages of peace talks, the BBC added.

三 | 公司上半年实现营业收入13.45亿元，同比增长174.34%；归母净利润3.81亿元，同比增长1069.18%。　　江西铜业的利润规模最大。公司发布的半年报显示，上半年实现营业收入3071.55亿元，同比增长19.53%；归母净利润86.32亿元，同比增长106.77%。　　江西铜业表示，报告期内，公司整体经营业绩同比实现较大幅度提升，主要原因为：一方面依托公司精细化运营管理，深挖内部降本增效潜力，通过工艺技改、能源降耗等举措拓宽盈利空间，关键技术经济指标持续改善；另一方面核心产品市场价格同比走高，公司主动作为，抢抓产品价格上涨机遇，调整原料及产品结构，带动整体经营效益实现较大幅度提升。　　另外，中稀有色发布2026年半年度报告，实现营业收入25.06亿元，同比下降6.38%；归属于上市公司股东的净利润4.03亿元，同比增长456.51%。　　中稀有色表示，2026年上半年稀土行业供需格局变化以及稀土主要产品价格同比上涨，公司通过创新一体化经营模式，统筹分离厂稀土原料采购及全产品市场销售，通过分析市场供需变化，动态调整产品产出结构，稀土主业实现经营价值较大幅度提升。同时，公司参股企业大宝山公司保持稳产高产，铜硫产品销量及价格均实现同比增长，企业盈利增加，公司按权益法核算的投资收益金额增加。　　金诚信上半年实现营业收入76.41亿元，同比增长20.97%；归属于上市公司股东的净利润16.14亿元，同比增长45.30%。公司表示，报告期内，公司业绩主要受到矿山服务业务和自有矿山资源开发业务管理提效以及矿产品价格上涨的影响。　　鹏欣资源的半年报显示，公司上半年实现营业收入20.90亿元，同比增59.56%；归母净利润2.25亿元，同比增长58.81%。公司表示，报告期内，公司南非实现黄金产量823.97公斤，同比增长62%；黄金销量566.46公斤，同比增长11.4%。

四 | 产销规模的同步扩大驱动板块盈利贡献显著提升。期末库存黄金536.57公斤，为后续灵活把握市场窗口、增厚收益奠定基础。　　工银瑞信基金认为，当前有色金属板块供给持续收紧，同时AI与新能源等领域新兴需求快速发展，拉动板块业绩高速增长，叠加海外宏观政策催化与市场风格切换，有色金属的商品趋势仍强，板块波动后仍有望延续上行。
